What is the Blue Eye?
The Blue Eye is a deep karst spring where water bubbles up from the depths of an unexplored underground cave. The source gets its name from its deep blue color, resembling an iris, surrounded by lighter shades reminiscent of an eye. With a depth of over 50 meters, it is impossible to see the bottom, adding a mysterious and fascinating dimension to this natural wonder.
What to Expect
Upon arriving at the Blue Eye, you are greeted by a lush green forest surrounding the spring. Well-maintained walkways make it easy to explore the area and find the best viewpoints. How to Get There
The Blue Eye is located about 22 km from Saranda and can be reached by car or organized tours. There are also public buses that run towards the village of Muzinë, from where you can take a short hike to the spring. The road to the Blue Eye is well signposted, and the journey offers beautiful landscapes, making the trip as memorable as the destination itself.
